Training
Pace Learning Systems, Inc., offers a wide range of staff training for
education facilities: PLS product training, TABEŽ training, professional
presentations, and on-site workshops.
PLS Product Training
The purchase of PaceWareŽ, our
basic skills software, includes one day of free on-site training. This
interactive training emphasizes the application of skills and hands-on
practice to teach participants how to use PaceWareŽ. A certified PLS Trainer
guides participants through all aspects of the PaceWareŽ administrative
program and the student program. Participants have the opportunity to consult
with the Trainer regarding implementation of PaceWareŽ in their particular
program.
Training for other PLS products is available for a fee.
TABEŽ* Training
Pace Learning Systems offers 1- or 2-day training for testing with TABE 7&8. TABE training is ideal for
instructing staff members in administering, scoring, and interpreting TABE
data to assure reliable and accurate results. If you are considering updating
from TABE 5&6 to TABE 7&8, TABE training can help staff members set
the parameters for future testing and score interpretation. PLS offers TABE
training for a fee.
Professional Presentations
Staff from PLS have presented on programs at many state, regional, and
national conferences for such organizations as the American Association of
Adult and Continuing Educators (AAACE), Commission On Adult Basic Education
(COABE), Association for Career and Technical Education (ACTE), and
International Correctional Educators Association (ICEA). Presentation topics
include Creating a Successful Learning Environment, Classroom
Solutions: Integrating Print and Software, and How to Individualize
Instruction for Multi-Level Classrooms.
Staff from PLS would be pleased to present at your county, state, regional,
or national conference.
On-Site Workshops
PLS will conduct a 2- to 4-hour workshop at your site upon your request.
This workshop showcases our products and
explains how they can become a part of your educational program. The focus of
the workshop is integrating our print systems and software for best results.
This workshop is ideal for educators looking for instructional materials to
create an individualized, self-paced, results-oriented program of remedial
education for older youth and adults.
