Dropout Assessment & Prevention System
Dropout Assessment and Prevention System (DAPS) is a
comprehensive, module-based solution that identifies students in your program
who are at risk of dropping out, develops a personalized intervention plan, and
provides solutions that ensure academic and personal success. Each module can
be purchased separately or all three can be purchased at once to provide an
entire prevention program that drastically reduces your dropout rate.
Assessment
The Assessment module includes both Student and Administrator Questionnaires
that are tabulated to identify the specific individual students who are dropout
risks. At the end of this module, the school receives a comprehensive report
highlighting the students who are most at risk.
Intervention
The Intervention module develops a personalized intervention plan for each
at-risk student that is based on the data collected in the Assessment module.
These factors cover the following areas: academics, economics, health,
behavioral assistance, social skills training, extracurricular activities,
career counseling, and training. The school, family, and community resources
will be evaluated in terms of the needs of the at-risk population. The plan
will be developed, implemented, and evaluated to ensure that these students
remain in school.
Pace Learning Lab
Professionals from Pace Learning work with the schools to develop a "suite of
solutions" that address the specific needs of the at-risk students. Students
are appropriately trained with personalized educational strategies to remediate
their deficiencies. At-risk students learn in an accelerated format designed
especially for non- or low-performing students. These are evidence-based
components that can be seamlessly integrated into school environments so that
administrators, teachers, students, and families will use them with consistency
to address the factors that influence a student's choice to stay in
school.
Dropout Assessment and Prevention System
(DAPS) gives us the gap information between academic levels and social
behavioral patterns that impact our at-risk students. With this information, we
can appropriately aid our students as they transition from middle school to
high school. In a nutshell, with DAPS, we have more information with which to
make better decisions for our students.
