Basic Math is an introduction to the basic concepts of mathematics. It teaches addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division of whole numbers and fractions. Basic Math also includes consumer applications and measurement calculations. The system contains an instructor's guide and 41 lessons organized in six standards: Whole and Decimal Numbers, Fractions, Equivalency, Probability and Statistics, Consumer Applications, and Measurement.

To help students reach a high level of basic math proficiency, flash cards for addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division are included with the Basic Math system and their use is incorporated in the lessons.

Combining the Basic Math and Advanced Math systems provides a complete math program progressing from recognizing numbers through factoring quadratic equations.
